Medi-Cal Rx transition delayed

On November 16, 2020, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) announced that the transition to Medi-Cal Rx will be delayed to April 1, 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency.
Register for the Medi-Cal Rx web portal
Despite this delay, SCFHP encourages providers to proceed with signing up for the Medi-Cal Rx web portal. All Medi-Cal providers, including prescribers and their staff, are required to register for the Medi-Cal Rx web portal prior to April 1, 2021 to access tools for drug prior authorizations, pharmacy claims, and status updates once the transition occurs.
