Update on DME Transition and Contact Information

The transition of our current members that are using services for Respiratory, Enteral Nutrition, Durable Medical Equipment and Medical Supplies to LifeCare Solutions is nearing completion. We are very pleased with the level of response and quality of service our membership and providers
are receiving. As this transition slows down, LifeCare Solutions will continue to be your point of contact for your daily operational questions.

Primary Care Payment Increase Attestation

As you may be aware, Section 1202 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) increases payments to the Medicare equivalent for specified services for qualified Medi-Cal providers effective January 1, 2013.

In order to be eligible for enhanced payment, the physician rendering or supervising the service must personally attest to be the following:

Building on two years of stakeholder discussions, the Coordinated Care Initiative (CCI) integrates delivery of medical, behavioral, and long-term care services. It also includes the Cal MediConnect program, which is an opportunity for people with both Medicare and Medi-Cal — called “dual eligible” beneficiaries or Medi-Medi’s – to benefit from more coordinated care.

CBAS Updates

CBAS Providers:

It has been almost one year since the CBAS benefit transitioned into managed care. During this time Santa Clara Family Health Plan received a lot of constructive feedback from our CBAS Providers. As a result of this feedback, beginning September 1, 2013, SCFHP will update the following business practices.
