California law requires health plans to provide timely access to care. This means that there are limits on how long you have to wait to get health care appointments and telephone advice. Read more about appointment wait times at this link.
A prior authorization or referral may be required to access some providers. Even if a provider is listed here, it does not mean you are guaranteed services for benefits from that provider. SCFHP’s provider network is subject to ongoing changes.
Some hospitals and other providers do not provide one or more of the following services that may be covered under your plan contract and that you or your family member might need: family planning; contraceptive services, including emergency contraception; sterilization, including tubal ligation at the time of labor and delivery; infertility treatments; or abortion. You should obtain more information before you enroll. Call your prospective doctor, medical group, independent practice association, or clinic, or call SCFHP customer service to ensure that you can obtain the health care services that you need.
