Do You Qualify?

These are the general qualifications for the Healthy Families Program

• Uninsured children from birth to age 19
• Do not qualify for No-Cost Medi-Cal
• Without job-based coverage for 3 months prior to applying for program (unless certain exceptions apply)
• Children must be U.S. citizens or legal immigrants. (Exceptions are granted for certain groups)
• Even if you are not a legal resident, your child may still qualify
• California resident
• Under 18? Some minors may apply for Healthy Families for themselves and their children
• Pregnant? You may apply for the program up to 3 months before your baby is born
• Income guidelines are based on family size and the child's age
